Remote LMFT Therapist in Florida | Full-Time Telehealth Role

Job Summary

We are hiring a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to provide virtual therapy for clients across Florida. This role is centered on real clinical conversations, thoughtful treatment planning, and helping clients work through the relationship, family, and personal concerns that are affecting their daily lives.

As an LMFT in this position, you will meet with clients through telehealth, understand what brought them to care, and guide sessions in a way that feels structured, professional, and useful. Your work may include supporting couples through communication breakdowns, helping families manage tension at home, or working with individuals who are carrying stress from relationship patterns, grief, parenting, or major life changes.

Responsibilities

  • Hold scheduled video therapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families
  • Review client concerns and gather the clinical history needed to guide care
  • Create treatment goals that are realistic, measurable, and relevant to the client's situation
  • Use family systems, relationship-based, and evidence-informed therapy methods when appropriate
  • Help clients better understand patterns that may be affecting communication, trust, and emotional stability
  • Keep progress notes, care plans, and clinical updates accurate and current
  • Maintain client privacy and follow all telehealth, HIPAA, and Florida practice requirements
  • Recognize when a client may need added resources, crisis support, or a higher level of care

Requirements

  • Active Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist license in Florida
  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field
  • Experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, families, or relationship-focused cases
  • Comfortable building rapport through video-based sessions
  • Knowledge of ethical documentation, confidentiality, risk assessment, and mandated reporting
  • Ability to stay organized while managing a full-time clinical caseload
  • Private workspace and reliable internet connection for remote client care
