This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. • Conduct initial assessments of patients to determine their mental health status and establish therapeutic rapport.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to address clients’ specific needs, including strategies to cope with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and more.
• Provide ongoing support through regular therapy sessions, employing both individual and group therapy techniques that are culturally responsive and inclusive.
• Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Refer clients to other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists or support groups, when additional care is needed, maintaining a holistic approach to their mental health.
• Document session notes and treatment progress using our electronic health record system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with state regulations.
• Engage in regular team meetings to discuss client cases, share insights, and collaborate with fellow counselors to enhance service quality.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Silver Wing Counseling Center, you will work with a varied client base, including individuals coping with substance abuse challenges, depression, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, and eating disorders. • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling or therapeutic role.
• A robust understanding of the various mental health disorders, along with evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in both individual and group therapy, emphasizing inclusivity and cultural competence.
• Strong crisis intervention skills, showcasing a calm demeanor in stressful situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling you to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in navigating electronic health record systems and relevant computer applications.
• A commitment to ethical practice, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding professional boundaries.
• The capability to operate effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

• Experience with teletherapy and remote counseling practices is highly desirable.
• Advanced training in specific therapeutic modalities (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy).
• Familiarity with mental health crises and intervention techniques.
