Position Overview

Silver Wing Counseling Center is seeking a qualified and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dedicated team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this role, you will engage with clients, assess their mental health status, and devise tailored therapeutic interventions to facilitate healing and growth. The ideal candidate will possess a master's or doctoral degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, in addition to a valid state license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW. You will have the exciting opportunity to work with diverse populations, including individuals dealing with substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.

Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status through interviews and standardized evaluation tools.
• Develop, implement, and review personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based practices tailored to individual needs.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions with clients, helping them to develop coping strategies and skillsets that promote resilience.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and medical doctors, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes effectively within the EHR system.
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, employing de-escalation techniques to ensure client safety.
• Engage in ongoing supervision and professional development initiatives to enhance clinical skills and therapeutic competencies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a counselor at Silver Wing Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse client base. Your caseload may include individuals facing challenges such as addiction, mental health disorders, interpersonal relationship issues, and trauma recovery. Our culturally competent approach emphasizes understanding each client's unique background, experiences, and needs.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health counseling setting.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Ability to provide therapy in both individual and group settings, utilizing culturally responsive and inclusive techniques.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in crisis intervention strategies and conflict resolution.
• Experience working in a telehealth environment and comfort using digital communication tools.
• A record of building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and creating a safe therapeutic space.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, enhancing both efficiency and patient care quality.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Silver Wing Counseling Center values our employees' well-being and provides a comprehensive benefits package including:
