You will work within a supportive and multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and peer support specialists. • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate clients' substance abuse histories along with their mental health status, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of each individual's needs.
• Craft personalized treatment plans tailored to address addiction and any co-occurring mental health issues, adapting interventions as necessary to meet changing client needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
• Collaborate closely with the treatment team, ensuring integrated care and sharing progress and observations during regular team meetings.
• Educate clients' families about the addiction recovery process, encouraging their involvement and support in their loved one’s journey.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing substance use disorders, some of whom may also be dealing with complex mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, or trauma. You will engage with a diverse clientele, reflecting the unique demographics of Iola, Kansas, and surrounding areas. Understanding the social determinants of health that affect these populations is crucial in providing effective treatment and support.

• A valid and active license in one of the following: LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, LSCSW, or a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Specialized training in addiction counseling is preferred; experience working in substance abuse treatment settings will be advantageous.
• Proficiency in recognizing and utilizing evidence-based practices for substance abuse treatment and managing co-occurring disorders.
• Exceptional therapeutic skills with a strong ability to engage and motivate clients toward achieving their recovery goals.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, essential for collaborating within a multidisciplinary care team.

• Experience using telehealth platforms and managing virtual therapy sessions effectively.
• Background in community outreach or engagement initiatives.

The salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentials.
