Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated night shift Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at our drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals recover from substance abuse and addiction. This job would require you to work night shifts from 7pm-7am, two 12 hour shifts a week.

Responsibilities:

- Provide nursing care and support to patients undergoing drug and alcohol rehabilitation

- Assess patient's physical and emotional well-being, monitor vital signs and symptoms, and administer medications as needed

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients

- Educate patients and their families about addiction, recovery, and coping strategies

- Support patients through detoxification and withdrawal process

- Monitor and manage patient's progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly

- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and documentation

Qualifications:

- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kansas

- Previous experience working in drug and alcohol rehabilitation or substance abuse treatment is preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism

- Knowledge of addiction treatment protocols and strategies

- BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred
