The Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including:

• Conducting thorough assessments of clients to identify their mental health needs and concerns.
• Developing tailored treatment plans based on individual assessments, incorporating evidence-based practices and interventions.
• Assisting clients in navigating complex mental health issues, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders.
• Regularly evaluating clients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of client interactions, treatment strategies, and progress notes in line with state regulations and organizational protocols.
• Actively participating in team meetings and case consultations to discuss client progress and share best practices.

Our clients are individuals from various backgrounds, including adolescents, adults, and families facing mental health challenges. As a remote counselor, you will engage with clients who may experience a range of issues such as mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, and relationship challenges. Your role will be pivotal in helping clients develop coping skills and achieve better emotional balance and overall mental health.

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist in California.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build trusting relationships with clients.

Preferred candidates will have at least two years of experience in providing counseling services. Experience in remote counseling settings or familiarity with telehealth methodologies is highly favorable. The ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team and educate peers on client-related needs will also be advantageous.
