Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify the mental health concerns, strengths, and treatment needs of incarcerated individuals.
• Provide individualized and group therapy sessions, focusing on topics such as substance abuse recovery, trauma processing, anger management, and effective reentry planning into society.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that utilize specific evidence-based therapeutic modalities, addressing the unique needs of each client.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups targeting critical life skills, relapse prevention strategies, and other key topics that promote personal growth and recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care through well-coordinated treatment plans.
• Offer crisis intervention services, conduct risk assessments, and develop safety plans to mitigate potential risks within the correctional environment.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring client privacy.
• Work closely with correctional staff to foster a safe and supportive environment, enhancing the therapeutic experience of clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily engages with individuals in the correctional system facing various mental health challenges. Clients may struggle with severe mental health disorders, substance abuse issues, trauma, and social reintegration needs. Your work helps to break the cycle of recidivism through proactive mental health support that facilitates personal and societal integration.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential.
• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders, substance abuse treatment methodologies, and trauma-informed care practices.
• Exemplary assessment, crisis intervention, and boundary-setting skills are crucial for this position.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
