Position Overview

Core Mental Health and Behavioral Solutions is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) to join our innovative team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychotherapy sessions via telehealth, effectively addressing emotional, mental, and behavioral issues in clients.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention services and support for clients experiencing acute distress or mental health emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using our user-friendly therapist portal, simplifying the record-keeping process.
  • Administer mental health screenings and assessments to accurately determine client treatment needs and progress.
  • Utilize applied behavior analysis techniques and other therapeutic methodologies to assist clients in managing behavioral challenges.
  • Develop tailored therapeutic plans that align with clients’ individual treatment goals and track progress over time.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health care, telehealth services, and innovative treatment trends.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on supporting a diverse patient population, including adolescents and their families, who face a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and co-occurring disorders. You will help clients navigate their emotional journeys while fostering positive coping mechanisms and strengthening their support systems. Your interventions will benefit individuals at various severity levels, extending care to those experiencing more acute distress or suicidal ideation.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Psychology or Social Work is required.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
  • Knowledge of telehealth practices is essential, with a focus on effective strategies for remote counseling.
  • A solid understanding of contemporary principles, practices, techniques, and emerging trends in individual and family counseling is necessary.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience providing mental health counseling to individuals coping with behavioral health challenges, co-occurring disorders, and substance use issues.
  • Experience implementing various therapeutic modalities, including individual and group therapy, to support client needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform mental health assessments and adapt care in response to client needs effectively.
Compensation and Benefits
