One of the coolest ecommerce jobs around!

HARRY'S COMMENTS: We are working with a well-established, high-end pet nutrition brand in their search for a world-class Senior Director of Ecommerce. This is a fully remote role, but the firm is headquartered in Texas.

About the Company

The firm is completely committed to its mission of providing innovative pet products of superior quality that improve the lives of pets across the globe. This role will give you the opportunity to be part of one of the hottest growth stories in a multibillion-dollar industry that’s ripe for innovation and change.

This remote position includes 1./ a competitive base salary commensurate with relevant experience, 2./ Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits Plan, and 3./ 401K, Paid time off, and Paid Holidays.

The client is seeking a Senior Director of Ecommerce to lead its rapidly growing ecommerce business, which currently generates high 8-figures in revenue. Online, its brand operates exclusively through third-party marketplaces including Amazon, Chewy, PetSmart.com, and Petco.com, with no direct-to-consumer sales.

That's where YOU come in.

To win in this role, you must possess deep Amazon Vendor Central (1P) experience. ("Must" means MUST.) Reporting to the firm's VP of Sales, you will lead a small but strategic team, including an Ecommerce Manager and an Ecommerce Merchandising Specialist, with potential future expansion.

Your primary responsibilities include P&L ownership, management of retail media networks (RMN) across multiple platforms, and direct engagement with Amazon AVS and Chewy's strategic account teams.

Additionally, you'll be tasked with strategic aspects of running the online business, including revenue growth, cost optimization, customer experience and brand development -- PLUS technology and analytics, channel management, retail media and advertising, and vendor relationship management.

Whew!

Immediately, you'll find yourself completing ongoing Amazon and Chewy terms negotiations (particularly focusing on terms and profitability), scaling the brand's new TikTok Shop channel while working to drive continued profitability across their eCommerce channel.

It'll be up to YOU to navigate Amazon's complex systems and frequent algorithm changes while ensuring strong performance across all digital marketplaces. This is no place for a Vendor Central novice!

You'll be operating within a fast-moving, entrepreneurial culture where the firm's CEO maintains high-touch oversight and expects responsiveness from leaders. While the role is fully remote with occasional in-person meetings, you must be comfortable with virtual collaboration and cross-functional leadership, working closely with marketing, finance, and operations teams.

To get this job, you'll need at least eight (8) years of in-house ecommerce experience in the CPG industry (pet industry experience preferred but not required), strong P&L management skills, and proven success with Amazon Vendor Central.

Additionally, you must be able to balance strategic thinking while ensuring operational excellence, particularly in areas of retail media network management, marketplace optimization, and vendor negotiations.

This role represents a crucial hire for this client, as the ecommerce channel continues to grow in importance for the firm's overall business strategy. It will fall to YOU to maintain the firm's premium brand positioning while driving growth across multiple digital platforms, all while operating within the company's collaborative, cross-functional environment.
