We are seeking a full-time Lead Scheduler to join the growing Project Controls Group in our Minneapolis, MN office. As a Lead Scheduler, you will have the opportunity to work on transportation projects including Bus Rapid Transit, Light Rail Transit, and complex roadway/bridge projects. A candidate located in the Minneapolis metro area is preferred, but a hybrid or even fully remote position will be considered to find the best candidate. Growth opportunities include leading schedule efforts, training/developing younger staff, and implementing new strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare schedules at all project levels including conceptual, 30/60/90 percent design and during construction.
  • Lead schedules development for use in all areas of business lines.
  • Utilize major software tools such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Primavera P6 and Acumen. Understanding and fluency in those software tools preferred.
  • Manage specific discipline tasks and serve as a point of contact for internal clients on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Assist in managing medium to large/more complex projects.
  • Lead small single-discipline focused projects and serve as a point of contact for external clients. 
  • Serves as trusted technical resource and demonstrates sound judgement.
  • Develop project schedules in accordance with company standards.
  • Demonstrate leadership amongst their peers at a group level.
  • Lead staff development and mentoring as well as supervision of other team members.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • Related 2- or 4-year degree, OR 5+ years' relevant experience without degree.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience as a supervisor.
  • Ability to obtain Schedule certifications, AACE International PSP preferred, or PMI-SP.
  • Contractor project experience preferred.
  • Prior MnDOT experience in cost and schedule functions preferred.
  • Knowledge in some phases of design development, construction, environmental and planning efforts.
  • Ability to promote and perform in a team environment.
  • Ability to build schedules from the beginning stage.
  • Ability to write a Schedule Narrative.
  • Great transparency in work products.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to successfully interact with clients.


Salary: $108,300 - $130,000 


Compensation is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.
