Senior Accountant | Epiq
About the Role
Epiq is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our Class Action & Settlement Administration business-a dynamic, high-growth area at the intersection of legal, financial, and operational services.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-volume, transaction-driven environment, partnering cross-functionally to deliver accurate financial reporting and drive scalable accounting processes in a fast-paced setting.
What You'll Do
  • Lead month-end close activities, including preparation and posting of journal entries (accruals, reclasses, inventory activity)
  • Perform and review account reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of variances and reconciling items
  • Partner with operations, legal, accounts payable, collections, and treasury to resolve accounting issues
  • Prepare audit-ready documentation and support internal/external audit processes
  • Analyze financial results and deliver insightful variance analysis
  • Investigate and resolve AP and GR/IR discrepancies and aged balances
  • Perform inventory and transactional reconciliations, identifying root causes and driving resolution
  • Strengthen and execute internal controls (SOX/ICFR) in a compliance-focused environment
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities (SAP, BlackLine, Excel)

What We're Looking For
3-5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
✅ B.S. in Accounting; Master's degree preferred.
✅ Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP (revenue, accruals, inventory)
✅ Experience in high-volume or operational accounting environments preferred
✅ Familiarity with internal controls / SOX compliance
✅ Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
✅ CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
✅ Experience with BlackLine, Alteryx, or other automation tools a plus
