As a Project Manager, you will perform a crucial role in managing several projects through all phases of the development lifecycle, observing generally accepted engineering principles. Project areas of focus include: initiation, planning, execution, release and closing. You will manage partner communications, project requirements, work breakdown, development engineering, testing and release. Your work directly impacts the strategic goals of Lifecycle Services. You will report to the Team Lead and work remote out of Texas.
Your Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, cost forecasting, monitoring, documentation, control and reporting on all aspects of assigned projects, coordinating internal and external development and test resources and working with resource managers and other project managers to ensure staffing, project alignment and integration.
  • You will also own project priorities and delivery of project expectations, and identify any issues and mitigate risk among a the project team
  • You will help develop business and marketing strategies, optimizing the performance of our products to achieve business goals.
  • You will need to use project management techniques, tools and established standards to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • You will lead within a technical team environment, and manage a geographically dispersed engineering and project delivery organization and making use of collaboration tools and remote management skills

The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline or Computer Science.
  • 2+ years of experience in product or application development.
  • Experience in a project management or project leadership role.
  • Experience with financial aspects of project management, percentage completion, revenue recognition, and project accounting.
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning, execution, risk management.
  • Knowledge of project management processes and tools such as PMI model, scheduling software and configuration management tools.
  • Knowledge of product certifications, such as 61508 functional safety, information security, UL, NEMA, CE, TUV, and other approval agencies
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, such as Agile methodologies like Scrum, XP or Kanban
  • Commercial project achievement and leadership in a drive systems, controls engineering and automation related business
  • Experience working in industrial controls, new product design, hardware/software, product testing, manufacturing or continuation and product life-cycle engineering,
  • Advanced training or certifications in PMI/PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Business Administration, Management, Operations or Project Engineering is desirable.
