Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior NPME with strong electro-mechanical expertise to support Remote AC Racks, Equipment Racks and Factory Interface/Mainframe Controls. This role requires deep knowledge of Controls and Mechanical systems, with responsibility for NPI, system integration, supplier engagement, manufacturing readiness, and floor support. The candidate will serve as a key NPME technical lead, driving issue resolution, improving build success rates, and enabling a smooth transition from NPI to high-volume manufacturing / Contract Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing readiness for Remote Ac Racks, Equipment racks, MF AC Boxes, FI/Mainframe controls. Independently develops, implements, and releases new product BOMs. Manages the development and validation of Operation Method Sheets (OMS) for medium complex modules.
  • Performs 3D solid model virtual analysis process, including Master Layout (MLO) and Digital Mock Up (DMU). Actively participates in design reviews, providing DFA, DFAe, DFTp, ITO, and operational efficiency improvement feedback to new product development team to drive cost, quality, and cycle time goals.
  • Documents product-related issues/enhancement opportunities and performs Root Cause Corrective Analysis (RCCA). Leads the disposition and resolution of issues requiring Long Term Corrective Action (LTCA) for project/program.
  • Lead/support engineering builds, managed builds and qualification activities
  • Drive Form-Fit-Function (FFF) validation and system-level integration checks
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting for line-down/system-level issues
  • Support BOM/SMBOM/configuration issues impacting production
  • Enable technicians on system configuration, software imaging, and validation
  • Support rework, containment, and shortage mitigation to avoid downtime and manage excess inventory (E&Z)
  • Ensure accurate BOM and configuration alignment across systems through change management processes (ECO, NSR, ESW, SPS, CCB)
  • Support CIP / strategic initiatives and process automation to improve velocity and productivity for the NPI Organization which includes cycle time, quality, and regional capability and Heavy core initiatives
  • Support supplier builds, first article validation, and CM readiness and Engage with regional CMs for issue resolution
  • Examine, prepare, and verify technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems, to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards
  • Analyze electrical schematics and harness designs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure product manufacturability and compliance with specifications.
  • Own New product transition to Volume or Contract manufacturing with focus on quality, cycle time, and system stability

Additional skills / qualifications:

  • Serve as primary NPME SME for Remote Ac Racks and Equipment racks
  • Strong experience Electro-Mechanical Engineering / NPME roles
  • Good knowledge on Remote AC's (MRAC, CMAC, CAAC, EQRK)
  • Knowledge on Electrical system components and its functionality, Packaging, and Remote AC Rack load calculations
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, interconnects, and cable assemblies
  • Experience in value analysis (VA) of schematics, cables, components, and bill of materials (BOM)
  • Proven experience in NPI, system integration, and manufacturing support
  • Experience working with global teams and contract manufacturers
  • Travel to supplier / CM sites as required

Other Requirements: This position may require standing for extended periods of time, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.

Additionally, because this position also may involve working in a clean room, the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields may be required.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
