What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Content Protection Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Content Protection Specialist, you need expertise in digital rights management, copyright law, and intellectual property enforcement, often supported by a degree in law, media, or IT. Familiarity with content monitoring platforms, takedown request systems, and anti-piracy tools is typically required. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills set top performers apart in this field. These abilities ensure the effective identification, mitigation, and prevention of unauthorized content use across digital platforms, protecting organizational assets.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals in remote content protection roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in remote content protection roles often encounter challenges such as rapidly evolving piracy methods, coordinating with global teams across time zones, and staying updated with the latest digital rights management technologies. To address these, it's important to engage in continuous learning, leverage collaboration tools for effective communication, and participate in regular cross-functional meetings. Building strong relationships with legal, technical, and content teams also helps in efficiently responding to threats and implementing protective measures.

These specialists also investigate breaches, enforce copyright compliance, and collaborate with legal teams to address violations. Their work is crucial for content creators, distribution platforms, and organizations that rely on digital assets.

About the Role
As a Director Platform Product Owner, you will play a critical role in bridging Cloud and Firmware product strategy and technical execution. You'll be responsible for translating business requirements into actionable development plans, guiding cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle - from planning and development to testing and release. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, product intuition, and stakeholder management.
Location: This position is fully remote. We are hiring across the US, UK, and Canada.
In This Role, You Will:
  • Own and manage the product backlog: Break down large features into manageable components, prioritize them, and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their platform product requirements and translate insights into backlog priorities.
  • Act as the go-to expert for internal teams on product functionality, capabilities, and the impact of proposed changes.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D teams to clarify requirements, provide context, and support development and QA efforts.
  • Refine and validate business requirements for the Platform teams and other Cujo Products.
  • Continuously assess backlog value to ensure prioritization aligns with customer and business needs.
  • Define release content through discovery and grooming sessions with stakeholders and other product owners.
  • Ensure timely delivery of product increments in collaboration with stakeholders and development teams.
  • Align with product leadership to understand strategic priorities and translate them into actionable plans.
  • Drive execution in agile environments, ensuring smooth coordination across teams.

Requirements
What We're Looking For:
  • 10+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Product Manager, Solutions Architect, or Lead Engineer role within the ISP industry.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand complex systems and business logic.
  • Proven experience working in Agile environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to balance detail orientation with big-picture thinking.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and highly organized.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What Will Make You Stand Out:
  • Hands-on experience with Network Service Providers (NSPs) and a solid understanding of how they operate, including networking or wireless communications.
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms in cloud environments.
  • Background in cloud infrastructure, ML, or networking technologies.
  • Track record of delivering large-scale, cross-departmental software projects in enterprise settings.
  • A strong team player instinct - you thrive in cross-functional environments and bring others along with you.
