Job description

At Connoisseur Media, technology powers everything we do-from keeping our radio stations sounding their best to connecting technologies across markets, and ensuring our teams have the tools they need to create great content and serve our communities. We're looking for a Network Administrator II to join our IT team, specializing in systems at the intersection of Information Technology and Radio Engineering (non-RF/Broadcast Engineering) across the company. In this remote position, you'll play a critical role in providing high-level technical support. The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter with excellent customer service skills, a passion for technology, and the ability to support everything from broadcast automation systems to network and systems infrastructure. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, collaborating with colleagues across multiple locations, and working in a fast-paced media environment, this is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact at a growing media company.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational and technical support for core radio automation systems, including Wide Orbit, RCS Zetta, and Nexgen.
  • Configure, install, and maintain network and firewall equipment such as routers, firewalls, and managed switches.
  • Diagnose hardware and software failures, communicate remediation plans to users, and provide status updates.
  • Support proprietary and 3rd-party applications used across the organization.
  • Develop, maintain, and contribute knowledge to internal documentation, diagrams, IT, and Engineering SOPs and training manuals.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance, providing excellent customer service at all times, and building effective working relationships with internal customers and team members.
  • Utilize strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and adaptability to learn new technologies, work effectively both independently and in a team, and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support continuous improvement in the process and quality of the operations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of IT or the Director of Engineering.

Qualifications:
Required Technical Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Systems Administration on the Windows platform, including user/security management, file system administration, and patch management. (Familiarity with Linux is a plus).
  • 5+ years managing and remediating endpoint protection and security systems.
  • 3+ years of experience configuring and maintaining business-class networking equipment, including:
  • Firewalls (NAT/PAT, routing, access rules, VPNs).
  • Managed switches and VLANs.
  • Strong working knowledge of radio broadcast automation systems such as Wide Orbit, RCS Zetta, and Nexgen.

Additional Experience Considered A Plus:
  • Experience with Google Workspace management.
  • Experience maintaining Help Desk/RMM platforms (e.g., Zendesk, N-Central MSP).
  • Experience with broadcast media-specific hardware and software.
  • Proficiency in technical diagramming tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio).

General Requirements:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a focus on great customer service and interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work remotely, under pressure, and meet strict deadlines. A company computer will be provided.
  • Ability to be on-call after hours on a rotation schedule.
  • Willingness to travel is a plus.

Preferred:
  • Applicants in the Eastern Time Zone who are willing to work early hours.

Salary Range: $55k - $65k DOE
Benefits:
Connoisseur invests in people who invest in themselves and offers employees a competitive package of health and welfare benefits.
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, and Vision. Supplement Life Insurance, AD&D Coverage, STD, and LTD coverage.
  • Paid Time Off: 17 PTO days and 10 company holidays.
