What You'll Do

As a Consumer Loan Officer, you'll play a critical role in helping members secure the financing they need while delivering an outstanding experience from application to closing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to members to identify lending opportunities and generate loan applications.
  • Interview applicants and guide them through the loan application process by phone and digital channels.
  • Analyze financial information and supporting documentation.
  • Evaluate applicants' creditworthiness, repayment capacity, collateral, and overall financial position.
  • Calculate debt-to-income ratios, payment structures, and collateral requirements.
  • Recommend loan approvals, denials, counteroffers, loan modifications, and debt restructuring solutions.
  • Educate members on consumer loan products and recommend solutions that best fit their needs.
  • Partner with decision-makers to approve or deny loan applications within established guidelines.
  • Communicate loan decisions and provide timely updates throughout the lending process.
  • Manage loan closings and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Counsel members on budgeting, credit management, debt solutions, and financial planning topics.
