Job description

CPC is actively seeking a Construction Quality Control Inspector for immediate full-time employment for a single-family development near the Okeechobee/Glades County line. We are a leader in Construction Services with staff that support our clients by acting as their trusted on-site agent through all phases of construction. The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career conducting and reporting site inspections on projects with combined vertical and civil elements in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

CPC is proud to provide our employees with exciting and challenging projects. The candidate can look forward to performing duties on behalf of the owner and documenting a general review of the day-to-day activities, responsibilities, and obligations of the contractor. Responsibilities require performing technical assignments in the field, assisting the Project Manager with oversight of construction quality for compliance to contract specifications and industry-standard installations by contractors. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Consultant’s Construction Project Manager.

Role Requirements

·        Provide quality assurance oversight to ensure that the construction performed on the project is per the requirements in the contract.

·        Provide daily surveillance of the contractor's quality control activities at the project site and maintain a daily log, including documentary photographs of construction and inspection activities.

·        Confirm home models and driveway configurations are being constructed on the appropriate lots.

·        Be able to perform quality assurance oversight to verify actual product delivery is compliant to contracted services, materials, and construction industry standards.

·        Be able to provide technical guidance and recommendations regarding construction matters observed and documented to project stakeholders.

·        Confirm that work is conducted in a safe manner and report safety concerns, site cleanliness, improper materials storage, or installation issues.

·        Document and report all trades and equipment observed on site daily as well as all work in progress.

·        Daily Reports to include all work completed the previous day, photos of the current day’s activities and stored materials, and any issues discovered that day. The Report is to reference each lot inspected by Lot Number and be recorded in the Project Manager’s proprietary reporting program.

·        Photographs and/or videos of each residential lot under construction with work in progress, deficiencies observed, and interior and exterior elevations will be documented and reported daily with the Lot reference number.

· Respectful communications with all visitors, contractors, and stakeholder representatives will be required.

 Salary Based on Experience

Other Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent plus five (5) years of experience in construction inspections.

• Candidate must be organized, determined, and resourceful; demonstrate a sense of urgency while accurately and safely performing the daily inspections.

• Candidate must have a strong working knowledge of all OSHA standards as applied to the Construction Industry.

• Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language.

• Candidate must be able to build relationships with a wide variety of people and personalities.

• Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Candidate must be able to enter data rapidly and accurately.

• Candidate must have a valid Florida Driver’s License.

• Candidate must submit to CPC’s Background Check.
