Pay: $45.00-$55.00/hour (Based on Experience)

Job Overview

Skillforce is currently hiring an experienced Civil & Environmental Construction Foreman for a contract-to-hire opportunity in the Concord, CA area. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with experience directing field crews on civil and environmental remediation projects. The Foreman will supervise daily jobsite activities while working alongside crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Foreman Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily field operations and provide leadership to construction crews.
  • Coordinate work involving demolition, excavation, grading, pipeline removal, tank cleaning, and environmental remediation.
  • Ensure crews follow project specifications, schedules, and safety procedures.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings and maintain a safety-first jobsite.
  • Complete daily reports and documentation using a tablet.
  • Coordinate the safe operation of heavy equipment and field personnel.
  • Monitor productivity and maintain quality workmanship.
  • Communicate project updates with the Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Assist with planning daily work activities and material needs.
  • Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining project timelines.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of Foreman experience in civil or environmental construction.
  • Experience with environmental remediation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of demolition, excavation, grading, pipeline removal, and tank cleaning.
  • Experience working around heavy equipment.
  • Ability to complete daily electronic documentation using a tablet.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Safety-focused with a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
