Purpose
Play an integral role in financial closing requirements, subsequent account reconciliations and analysis, and daily accounting tasks
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare and load journal entries
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations, including balance sheet and P&L accounts
Prepare account analysis, including research and compilation of findings
Prepare daily cash journal entries and related reporting
Prepare P&L accrual estimates and allocations by location
Assist the Senior Accountant with fixed asset capitalization
Assist the Senior Accountant and Management with accounting adjustments
Prepare documentation and notes supporting procedures or accounting treatment
Assist the Accounting Team with ad hoc assignments
Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure financial statement completeness and accuracy
Work collaboratively with cross-functional departments to reach satisfactory results
Meet deadlines and proactively communicate findings and status timely
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
Good understanding of accounting theory and GAAP
2-3 years of prior experience in an accounting role
Preferred Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong communication skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to quickly learn new software
Strong research skills
Be a flexible person who is adept at change
Ability to meet deadlines using good time management skills
