Job description

The Accountant assists the Accounting Manager and the Controller with ensuring the accurate representation of financial transactions within the financial accounting system and the efficient operation of the Accounting Department. Assists management on various projects. Maintains accounting and statistical records including Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts as well as the associated analysis and reporting. Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure accuracy and timely completion. Recommends process improvement to general accounting activities ensuring the most efficient and effective operations.
 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
  • 2 years accountant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciles and maintains assigned assets and liabilities in a timely manner; monthly, quarterly, or annually as instructed.
  • Resolves any discrepancies discovered while reconciling accounts.
  • Supports G/L team with special projects as necessary.
  • Assists Treasury Management Specialist as needed.
  • Verifies all journal entries are completed and accounted for before financials are complete.
  • Researches, interprets, and analyzes financial and statistical data for Management with attention to detail.
  • Exhibits spreadsheet proficiency; has a comprehensive knowledge of programs to manage data efficiently.
  • Participates in ongoing education opportunities to learn about industry trends and developments.
  • Prepares schedules as needed for audit purposes.
  • Demonstrates report writing proficiency in the management reporting application.
  • Demonstrates reliability and punctuality through adherence to work schedule.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally while fostering positive and collaborative working relationships with other team members. 
  •  Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.

Schedule:

Full-Time; Monday - Friday

Pay Range:

Salary/Exempt

$52,000 – $76,000
