• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental and emotional well-being through structured interviews and standardized assessment tools. Analyze assessment results to identify issues, barriers, and therapeutic goals.
• Develop tailored treatment plans for individuals, couples, and families based on comprehensive evaluations and client-centered feedback.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions that address a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational conflicts.
• Deliver couples therapy aimed at enhancing communication skills, resolving conflicts, and fostering healthy relationship dynamics.
• Regularly review and adjust treatment plans, ensuring they remain aligned with the evolving needs and progress of the clients.
• Maintain precise records of therapy sessions, including treatment plans, progress notes, and case histories, adhering to ethical standards of confidentiality.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide holistic care that integrates various therapeutic approaches and stakeholder insights.
• Actively engage in crisis intervention as necessary, providing immediate support to clients in acute distress.
• Stay informed of the latest research, methodologies, and best practices within the fields of marriage and family therapy, integrating new insights into practice.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and remain compliant with licensure requirements; advocate for clients’ rights and wellness throughout their therapeutic journey.

You will be engaging with a diverse clientele ranging from children and adolescents to adults and couples. Your work will address a spectrum of mental health issues, and you will utilize evidence-based practices to promote healing and resilience. Working with clients from varying backgrounds, you will empower them through education and skill-building to overcome personal challenges and improve their overall mental health.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist from the State Board is mandatory for this position.
• Experience providing therapy to both individuals and couples, with well-honed skills in therapeutic techniques and interpersonal communication.
• Familiarity working with children and adults in various settings is highly desirable.
• Strong writing skills and timely completion of documentation and treatment planning are essential for effective clinical practice.

• Proven track record of working in a community-based setting, particularly within a health clinic.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is preferred.
• Previous experience in trauma-informed care or specialized areas of focus can enhance your candidacy.
