A Conflicts Attorney in a remote role is responsible for identifying and resolving potential conflicts of interest in legal matters while working from a remote location. They review new client engagements, analyze conflict reports, and ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards. These attorneys collaborate with legal teams to address any issues that may arise and help maintain the firm's integrity and regulatory compliance. Strong research, analytical skills, and attention to detail are essential for this role.
As a remote Conflicts Attorney, your primary responsibilities include reviewing new client matters, conducting comprehensive conflict checks, analyzing potential conflicts, and advising attorneys on resolution or waivers. You work closely with new business intake teams, partners, and compliance professionals to ensure the firm's ethical and legal standards are upheld. Effective communication and proactive follow-up are essential since much of your collaboration occurs virtually through email, video meetings, and legal management systems. This role requires a high degree of self-motivation and organization, as you often juggle multiple matters for attorneys across various practice areas and jurisdictions.
