Job description

The Business Systems Analyst - Lead provides top-level technical expertise for documenting, analyzing, and improving enterprise IT systems and business processes. This role leads efforts to align system requirements with business objectives and ensures technical solutions meet DoD/DLA standards. The Lead BSA acts as a technical advisor and mentor for the project team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Document and analyze current business operations and IT processes.
  • Develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POAM) to evolve systems to best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance on identity, credential, and access management systems (AMPS, SSO, PAM).
  • Create system specifications, requirements documents, and traceability matrices.
  • Collaborate with project managers, Key Personnel, and SMEs to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Support risk management and compliance initiatives aligned with DoD/DLA policies.
  • Produce and review deliverables for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Mentor junior analysts and oversee work on complex technical projects.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must hold Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis or IT process analysis.
  • Strong expertise in identity and access management, enterprise system provisioning, SSO, and privileged access management.
  • Knowledge of DoD/DLA IT systems, NIST standards, RMF, and relevant Federal regulations.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must hold an AGILE certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) (ideally agile based)
  • Ability to work hybrid with occasional on-site presence at DLA facilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with SAP GRC or other enterprise governance tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (OCI, FedRAMP IL5).
  • Experience leveraging AI/ML for automation in IT systems.
