• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma history, establishing a solid foundation for personalized treatment.
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique experiences and recovery goals, emphasizing resilience-building strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient healing.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients to process trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and integrated care experience for each patient.
• Deliver crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, providing essential stabilization and guidance.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources, fostering a supportive network.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring accurate patient records.
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development sessions focused on trauma-informed care practices.
• Continuously update your knowledge base with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness.

The patients we serve are primarily individuals affected by trauma, including those with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. • Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, Psychologist, or LMFT in Texas.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health treatment setting.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Experience delivering trauma-focused therapy and interventions is essential.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating a caring and non-judgmental approach to patient interactions.
• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-stress situations, adapting therapy approaches as needed.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Two or more years of hands-on experience in trauma-focused therapy roles, particularly in outpatient settings.
• Familiarity with community health resources in Houston, Texas, and ability to build relationships with local organizations supporting mental health.
