We are seeking a motivated Computer Science student to join our team as a Remote Services Support Intern. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with real-world server infrastructure, remote system management, and healthcare technology.
Job Summary
You will assist in the day-to-day support and maintenance of a remote server environment that powers critical remote services for medical equipment. This role combines technical troubleshooting, system monitoring, basic scripting/automation, and occasional data visualization/reporting tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities
โ€ข Monitor server performance and availability for the remote medical devices
โ€ข Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues reported by medical devices
โ€ข Perform routine server maintenance, updates, and basic administrative tasks
โ€ข Help document procedures and maintain system logs
โ€ข Support data extraction and reporting tasks (using tools such as Tableau or Power BI when applicable)
โ€ข Collaborate with the technical team on small improvement projects and automation scripts
โ€ข Learn and follow healthcare data security and compliance best practices
Requirements
Please note that this is an in-person position, and applicants must be located in Houston, TX, in order to be considered.
โ€ข Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field
โ€ข Strong interest in systems administration, networking, or cloud/remote infrastructure
โ€ข Basic understanding of Linux/Windows server environments (or willingness to learn quickly)
