We believe in creating a safe, nurturing environment where trauma survivors can find the support they need to thrive.

This position is structured for a flexible remote work setting, allowing you to provide care across various locations in Ontario, California, and surrounding areas. Our telehealth platform facilitates seamless communication and collaboration, ensuring you can effectively connect with patients from the comfort of your own space. We support a work culture that values innovation, empathy, and teamwork, striving to enhance the overall mental well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's history, needs, and treatment goals.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies, consistently adapting plans based on patient progress.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support patient healing.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that enable patients to process their trauma, develop coping mechanisms, and foster supportive connections.
  • Engage in regular collaboration with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members to optimize care for patients across various needs.
  • Deliver crisis intervention as needed, providing immediate support during trauma-related emergencies and heavy emotional moments.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, helping them understand coping strategies and available resources for further support.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
  • Participate in case consultations and team meetings, sharing insights and engaging in ongoing professional development relevant to trauma-informed care.
  • Stay informed of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery and improve patient outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals grappling with the effects of trauma. Many of our clients present with complex histories involving PTSD, anxiety disorders, and other trauma-related conditions. At Recovery Mind, we value each patient's unique background and experience, striving to create tailored approaches that foster healing and promote personal strength. Our dedicated team recognizes the intricacies of trauma, creating a supportive environment that empowers patients on their recovery journeys.

  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic modalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, emphasizing a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to client interactions.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications essential for telehealth service delivery.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably with a focus on trauma.
