• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans that reflect their specific needs, goals, and preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to enhance client outcomes.
• Educate and support clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving needs.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated, holistic care.
• Stay informed on the latest research and developments regarding mood disorders to continuously improve treatment methodologies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to foster professional growth and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Advocate for clients' needs and work towards reducing the stigma around mental health issues.

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing mood disorders. This includes working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, such as those facing homelessness, refugees seeking stability, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your role is integral to helping these vulnerable populations navigate their challenges, fostering resilience and hope through therapeutic engagement.

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field, showcasing advanced understanding of mental health.
• Proven ability to build secure and trusting relationships with clients, highlighting superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate empathy, sympathy, and a non-judgmental attitude toward clients and their unique experiences.
