Wisdom Within Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a remote capacity. As a vital member of our community health clinic, you will leverage your expertise to promote mental well-being among our diverse clientele. Your role will involve conducting thorough mental health evaluations, crafting personalized treatment plans, and facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, along with a welcoming environment for professional growth and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews and document client cases, ensuring thorough records from initial consultation through the treatment process.
  • Assess and evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health needs to inform individualized treatment planning.
  • Create and implement effective intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe and supportive environment for self-expression and growth.
  • Regularly monitor client progress against treatment goals, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with fellow mental health specialists and healthcare providers to develop integrated care plans that address the full spectrum of client needs.
  • Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients who have been hospitalized, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Recognize and address behaviors that hinder recovery, providing education and support to both clients and their families.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will involve working with a varied patient population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
  • A successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, to manage client documentation efficiently.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders, including co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, and addiction issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and healthcare colleagues.
  • A deep commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous work experience as a mental health counselor, particularly within a community health or clinical setting.
