Job Description and Duties

Sentral seeks a commission-driven Director of Business Development to source and close new management agreements with multifamily and hospitality owners across Sunbelt markets. You will originate owner relationships, develop pipeline, conduct prospect tours through Sentral properties, and close management agreements. This role is central to Sentral's growth strategy in high-velocity multifamily and hospitality markets.

This will be an hybrid role which will work remotely and travel to local markets with our Development Team.

  • Originate new owner relationships through cold outreach, referral networks, and strategic prospecting
  • Develop and maintain BD pipeline; qualify leads and move deals through sales cycle
  • Conduct property tours and capability presentations to prospective owners and development partners
  • Negotiate and close management agreements; coordinate with Vice President of Real Estate on contract terms
  • Collaborate with internal Sentral Ambassadors and external partner network to leverage relationships
  • Maintain detailed CRM records and provide weekly/monthly pipeline reporting
  • Collaborate on strategy for the company, particularly as it relates to maximizing the ROI on capital invested across our platform
  • Consistently visit project sites, coordinating project status and relationship discussions with internal and external team members while maintaining and enhancing local relationships.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, economics, finance, architecture, development, design, or real estate, or the equivalent professional experience
  • 610 years of sales and growth experience in real estate
  • 5-12 years of sales, growth and underwriting experience in multifamily and/or hospitality real estate
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT
  • Hybrid residential-hospitality and/or Class A multifamily experience required
  • Strong existing network among multifamily owners and developers
  • Proven track record of sourcing and closing deals in competitive markets
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Self-motivated, consultative approach to sales; comfortable with variable compensation
  • Ideal candidate would be able to travel 50%, or as needed
  • Existing relationships and network in Texas or Georgia multifamily and hospitality markets
  • Experience sourcing deals with institutional and private capital ownership structures
  • Familiarity with flex-living, co-living, or extended-stay operating concepts
  • Prior experience closing management contracts with owners across multiple properties
