• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions for couples, helping them navigate relationship challenges and build stronger connections.
• Utilize diagnostic assessments and create comprehensive treatment plans tailored to address each client's unique family dynamics and issues.
• Address a broad spectrum of concerns, including:
  • Substance abuse and addiction.
  • Domestic violence, both physical and psychological.
  • Complex grief and loss issues, conflict resolution strategies.
  • Job-related stress and chronic medical conditions affecting mental health.
  • Challenges arising from familial conflicts, blended families, and separation/divorce.
  • Facilitating improved communication pathways between family members.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment strategies that enhance overall patient well-being.
• Document treatment progress and maintain timely and accurate patient records in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory guidelines.

As a therapist at Presence of Mind Counseling Clinic, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. Our clients come to us from various backgrounds, each presenting their unique sets of circumstances that require individualized treatment approaches.

• A valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, psychology, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
• Proficiency in utilizing various therapeutic modalities and approaches.

• Experience in providing therapy to diverse families and multicultural populations.
• Previous work in an outpatient or telehealth setting, demonstrating effective remote communication skills.
