Job Description We are seeking a Software Engineer III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in systems software, databases, and SDLC practices and a proven ability to design, develop, test, and evaluate software and database systems. Responsibilities: Modify existing databases and database management systems.
Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers for the management system or direct others in coding descriptions. Collaborate with project teams to coordinate database development and define project scope and limitations. Review project requests, assess user needs, and estimate time and cost to deliver solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency with database concepts and development tools such as SQL and Visual Basic or similar technologies. Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, manage time, and mentor peers with constructive feedback.
Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle from analysis and requirements through testing and delivery. Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement system changes to resolve problems. Understanding of computer hardware and operating systems concepts.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Preferred Skills: Experience with operating systems-level software, compilers, or network distribution software. Background in applications for medical, industrial, communications, aerospace, business, or scientific domains.
