Coastal Light Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health counselor for a full-time remote position. This role is integral to delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive mental health care to a diverse population in an outpatient setting.

This position allows for remote work flexibility while being part of a dynamic outpatient office dedicated to fostering a collaborative atmosphere. Our operational hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some potential for flexibility in scheduling to best accommodate patient care needs.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, gathering meaningful insights into patients' unique experiences and backgrounds to create effective treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, customizing approaches according to the cultural and personal contexts of each patient.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions designed to foster resilience, coping skills, and overall mental wellness.
• Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to guarantee integrated care and comprehensive support for patients.
• Provide crisis intervention, responding effectively to mental health emergencies while ensuring patient safety.
• Education is a priority; thus, inform patients and their families about mental health conditions, potential treatment options, and available community resources.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient progress and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines for confidentiality.
• Engage in peer collaboration through case conferences and team meetings, aimed at continuous improvement and shared learning.
• Stay informed on the latest research in mental health treatment methodologies and cultural sensitivities to enhance care delivery.

As a part of our team, you will work with a diverse range of individuals, including those grappling with common mental health disorders as well as complex cases often influenced by cultural factors. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring an inclusive approach to treatment, where every patient's background and life experience are respected and integrated into their care plan.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
• A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy in culturally responsive ways.
• Exceptional crisis intervention capabilities, coupled with the ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of building rapport with a diverse client base.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and requisite technological proficiency.
• Commitment to professional ethics, including maintaining patient confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Previous experience in a multicultural setting, demonstrating the ability to deliver care effectively to marginalized populations.
• Advanced training in specific therapeutic modalities or crisis intervention techniques.
• Exposure to telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices.
