To thrive as a Remote CNC Lathe Programmer, you need strong knowledge of CNC programming, machining processes, and blueprint reading, typically supported by technical training or a relevant degree. Experience with CAD/CAM software like Mastercam, G-code programming, and familiarity with CNC control systems are essential. A Remote CNC Lathe Programmer is a professional who develops and writes computer programs for CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathes from a remote location, rather than working onsite. They use specialized software to create precise instructions that control machine tools for manufacturing parts. Their work involves reading technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools, and optimizing machining processes to ensure efficiency and quality. Remote CNC Lathe Programmers typically collaborate with engineers and machinists through digital communication and may use cloud-based platforms to transfer programs to the production floor.
