Job description

About ClickHouse
Recognized on the 2025 Forbes Cloud 100 list, ClickHouse is one of the most innovative and fast-growing private cloud companies. With more than 3,000 customers and ARR that has grown over 250 percent year over year, ClickHouse leads the market in real-time analytics, data warehousing, observability, and AI workloads.
The company's sustained, accelerating momentum was recently validated by a $400M Series D financing round. Over the past three months, customers including Capital One, Lovable, Decagon, Polymarket, and Airwallex have adopted the platform or expanded existing deployments. These customers join an established base of AI innovators and global brands such as Meta, Cursor, Sony, and Tesla.
We're on a mission to transform how companies use data. Come be a part of our journey!
As a Developer Advocate at ClickHouse, you'll be the bridge between our developer community, internal teams, and external partners. You'll play a central role in growing, supporting, and energizing our large AMER meetup community, as well as broader developer and partner ecosystems. Working closely with engineering, product, marketing, and sales, you'll connect the right experts to the right opportunities, help guide community programs, and ensure ClickHouse engagement is impactful, strategic, and measurable.
This role is remote, but candidates must live near a major airport due to frequent travel (~50%+) to support meetups, conferences, customer and partner events, and other community initiatives.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and grow ClickHouse's AMER meetup network, coordinating events, speakers, logistics, and community engagement to deliver high-quality, consistent experiences.
  • Serve as the primary connector for developer-focused initiatives across ClickHouse, collaborating closely with engineering, product, marketing, and sales teams, as well as external partners and customers.
  • Act as a liaison between ClickHouse, our community, partners, and customers to identify opportunities, gather feedback, and drive adoption.
  • Enable internal teams to create impactful technical content, case studies, or demos by connecting them with subject matter experts and community insights.
  • Track and report metrics that measure the success and impact of developer engagement, meetups, and advocacy programs.
  • Represent ClickHouse at conferences, webinars, meetups, and other technical forums, ensuring the community has a strong, visible advocate.
  • Support engineers in online communities such as Discord, Twitter, Slack and GitHub Discussions.
What You Bring
  • Strong technical background in data systems, analytics, distributed systems, or related domains.
  • Experience engaging and enabling developer communities, including running meetups, events, or open source programs.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams (engineering, product, marketing, sales) and with external partners and customers.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to translate complex technical topics for diverse audiences and foster community engagement.
  • Strategic thinking, initiative, and the ability to drive programs that scale across multiple geographies and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable being a visible, public advocate for ClickHouse and our community.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ of the time; remote role requires living near a major airport.
