Job description

Position Overview

Seeking a Board-Certified Cardiologist for a remote clinical trial support opportunity focused on centralized ECG interpretation and regulatory-compliant review processes. This role offers flexible telehealth scheduling while supporting a Boston-based clinical research program.

Schedule

  • Remote/telehealth opportunity
  • Monday–Friday coverage required
  • Flexible workload averaging 10–20 hours per week
  • No call responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Centralized review and interpretation of protocol-specific ECGs for regulated clinical trials
  • Evaluate ECG parameters including:
    • Heart rate
    • PR interval
    • QRS duration
    • QT/QTc measurements
  • Identify abnormalities including:
    • Arrhythmias
    • Conduction abnormalities
    • QT prolongation
    • Ischemic changes
  • Escalate clinically significant findings according to study protocol timelines
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to standardized interpretation methodologies

Preferred Experience

  • Prior centralized ECG review or clinical trials experience preferred
  • Familiarity with clinical trial workflows and electronic ECG systems
  • Understanding of:
    • ALCOA++ principles
    • ICH E6 (GCP)
    • ICH E14 (QT/QTc evaluation)
    • FDA/EMA safety expectations and audit requirements

Requirements

  • Board-Certified Cardiologist required
  • Active medical license in at least one state required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required

Credentialing

  • Fast credentialing timeline of approximately 2 weeks
