Your primary responsibilities as a Remote LCSW-C will include:

• Conducting teletherapy sessions with individuals, caregivers, and families facing end-of-life challenges, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Assessing clients’ unique needs through comprehensive evaluations and developing personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that align with their goals and values.
• Utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and grief counseling to provide effective interventions.
• Maintaining precise and confidential client records in compliance with ethical standards and HIPAA regulations.
• Participating in regular team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and enhance collaborative care strategies.
• Educating clients and families about available hospice services and resources, aiding in decision-making processes during challenging times.

In this role, you will support clients from diverse backgrounds who are experiencing terminal illnesses, providing them with emotional and psychological support. Your work will help clients process grief, loss, and existential concerns, focusing on enhancing their quality of life. By addressing family dynamics and communication, you will equip families with the tools they need to support their loved ones effectively.

To be considered for this position, you must hold the following qualifications:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) license in the state of Maryland.
• Strong clinical skills and an ability to work independently within a remote setting.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• A deep commitment to ethical practice, cultural competence, and the promotion of mental health.

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your application:

• Prior experience providing teletherapy services, particularly within hospice, palliative care, or similar settings.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and best practices for remote counseling.
• Experience in coping strategy development and client education regarding hospice resources.
