This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while working with a diverse client population in an outpatient setting. While remote, counselors can leverage technology for virtual sessions and documentation, fostering a modern therapeutic environment. • Conduct initial assessments and interviews, meticulously documenting client histories from the first consultation through to treatment completion.
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health accurately to inform treatment planning.
• Design and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, considering each client's unique circumstances and goals.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices that encourage client participation and success.
• Regularly monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans and therapies as necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with other mental health practitioners, doctors, nurses, and social workers to create comprehensive care strategies.
• Coordinate care by following up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients requiring hospital admission.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventive measures to support lasting behavioral change.
• Support family members and primary caregivers in navigating mental health challenges, equipping them with tools and resources.

At Citrus Psychotherapy Center, you’ll work with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues. • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia, demonstrating compliance with regulated mental health practices.
• Passage of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to efficiently manage client documentation and records.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective counseling and documentation.

• Previous experience effectively working as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a track record of successful interventions and positive client outcomes.
• Knowledge of various physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders, to better support clients facing dual diagnoses.
• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical guidelines.
• Understanding of the effects of common psychotropic medications and their implications in therapeutic care.
• A nurturing, empathetic demeanor and proven interpersonal skills to build trusting therapeutic relationships.
