• Conduct secure and confidential remote therapy sessions for both individual and group settings using advanced telehealth technology, ensuring a safe environment for client interaction.
• Perform thorough psychosocial assessments to establish a deep understanding of clients’ emotional, social, and mental health needs, followed by the development of personalized treatment plans that effectively address their unique challenges.
• Offer immediate support and crisis intervention during therapy to safeguard client well-being, utilizing de-escalation techniques and therapeutic interventions.
• Guide clients in navigating community resources, social services, and support systems to enhance their overall well-being and recovery process.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential electronic client records, detailed progress notes, and treatment plans consistent with industry regulations and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including medical staff and other service providers, to implement a holistic care approach tailored to each client’s recovery goals.
• Educate clients on essential coping strategies, effective communication, and self-care techniques, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health management.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities, staying abreast of the latest research and best practices related to clinical social work and teletherapy methodologies.

In this role, you will primarily focus on clients in a detox center setting, often experiencing acute emotional and mental health challenges related to substance use. The clients you support may face issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral health conditions, requiring an immediate and empathetic therapeutic approach. You will play a pivotal role in guiding them through recovery by fostering trust and promoting a sense of agency throughout their treatment.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.
• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
• A minimum of three years of experience in a mental health or therapy-focused role, ideally with experience in detox or substance use treatment settings.
• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy services effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills suited for remote client interactions, with an emphasis on building rapport and maintaining confidentiality.
• A strong commitment to ethical therapeutic practices and client-centered care.
• Proven ability to work independently within a remote setting, adapting to various client needs and scheduling across different time zones.
