At Liberty Dental Plan, our claims operations play a critical role in ensuring members receive timely, accurate, and high-quality service. Weโ€™re looking for a Claims Supervisor who brings strong leadership, operational discipline, and a passion for developing people to help drive performance and consistency across our claims function.

This is a highly visible role where youโ€™ll oversee daily operations, manage team performance, and partner with leadership to ensure service level agreements are met while fostering a collaborative and engaged team environment.

What Youโ€™ll Do

As a Claims Supervisor, youโ€™ll lead both day-to-day execution and team development, including:

  • Supervise and support claims staff to ensure accuracy, productivity, and adherence to processing guidelines
  • Monitor inventory, turnaround times, and workflow distribution to meet deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Create and deliver daily and weekly performance and operational reports to leadership
  • Partner with leadership on recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members
  • Train, coach, and mentor staff, providing ongoing feedback and development support
  • Evaluate employee performance and address concerns through coaching, performance improvement plans, or disciplinary action
  • Foster a team-oriented environment that promotes collaboration, accountability, and strong morale
  • Monitor call volumes and partner with analysts to align staffing with performance expectations
  • Review live and recorded calls to ensure quality standards are met and address performance gaps in real time
  • Act as an escalation point for complex issues, partnering cross-functionally to drive resolution
  • Support first-call resolution by remaining accessible to frontline staff
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and support operational enhancements
  • Travel occasionally as needed

What You Bring
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of claims processing experience, including Medicaid, PPO, and HMO environments
  • Prior supervisory or team lead experience
  • Strong knowledge of claims adjudication and processing standards
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and balance multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with claims systems and related technologies
  • Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually, not including fringe benefits or potential bonuses. At Liberty, your final base salary will be determined by factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and experience. We are committed to pay equity and also consider the internal equity of our current team members when making final compensation decisions.

Please note that the range listed represents the full base salary range for this role. Typically, offers are not made at the top of the range to allow for future salary growth.
