Their primary role is to ensure accountability, transparency, and fairness in police operations by reviewing complaints, conducting investigations, and making recommendations for improvement. These professionals typically work for oversight boards, government agencies, or non-profit organizations, and they help build trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Working remotely allows them to use digital tools and communication platforms to perform their duties without being physically present at police departments.
