Job description

Position Overview

Sleep Better Healthcare Services, Inc. is looking for a compassionate and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor, holding an LCSW, LMFT, or LPC certification, to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role will enable you to make a significant difference in the lives of individuals seeking mental health support while working within a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Organization

At Sleep Better Healthcare Services, Inc., our mission is to improve accessibility to therapeutic resources, reduce stigma surrounding mental health, and foster a culture of understanding and healing. We have demonstrated success by collaborating with our clients and community providers to create tailored treatment plans that meet individual needs. Through innovative approaches and a commitment to excellence, we aim to significantly impact mental health outcomes in our communities.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to provide therapy from the comfort of your home while connecting with clients in Seaside, Oregon, and surrounding areas through secure telehealth platforms. Our community health clinic model ensures that you have a robust support system, featuring a collaborative team of clinicians dedicated to clinical excellence and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate discharge planning on the day of admission for all patients, ensuring that coping skills, transition plans, and resources are effectively communicated and understood prior to discharge.
  • Manage crisis situations during therapy sessions and within the residential environment, offering guidance and support to both patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure efficient care by participating in weekly treatment meetings, discussing patient progress, and reinforcing treatment goals.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all clinical documentation, utilizing electronic medical records effectively to maintain compliance and continuity of care.
  • Conduct admission assessments with professionalism and warmth, actively participating in clinical outreach and educational program tours.
  • Facilitate open communication with family members and loved ones, responding to inquiries within two hours during business hours, and assuring continuous support throughout a patient’s treatment journey.
  • Engage with insurance providers for utilization reviews, securing necessary authorizations to uphold care standards and treatment progress.
  • Build and maintain strong therapeutic alliances with clients, regularly assessing mental health risk factors and intervening promptly when necessary.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role focuses on diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges. You will work with individuals seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and other emotional difficulties, tailoring your approach to meet each client's unique situation and cultural background.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctorate in clinical psychology, counseling, or clinical social work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD) from an accredited institution.
  • An active and independent mental health license in the State of Oregon, such as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records and communication through electronic mail.
  • Strong ability to manage a diverse caseload while collaborating effectively with larger healthcare providers and support staff.
Preferred Experience
  • A proven track record of working in community health settings that prioritize patient-centered care.
  • Additional training in specialized therapeutic techniques (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care) is preferred.
  • Experience with crisis intervention and stabilization techniques.
  • A demonstrated commitment to advocacy within the field of mental health.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package ranging from USD 50,000 to 70,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:

  • Minimal paperwork to allow for more focus on patient care.
  • Access to comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Life and disability insurance for peace of mind.
  • Professional liability coverage.
  • Employee assistance programs to support your own mental health needs.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Sleep Better Healthcare Services, we are committed to your professional development. You will have opportunities to engage in continual learning through workshops, conferences, and training sessions, setting a solid foundation for career advancement within the organization.

Why Join Our Team

You will join a dedicated team and an organizational culture that values diversity and aligns with our mission of enhancing mental health access for all.
