Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
• Provide ongoing therapy and counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques tailored to the client's circumstances.
• Engage in timely documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans to comply with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement effective positive behavior support plans.
• Participate actively in licensing and accreditation processes to maintain the clinic’s standards of quality care.
• Act as a liaison with community agencies, state organizations, and other service systems to strengthen support networks for patients.
• Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and community standards.
• Foster partnerships with local, state, and private entities to promote clinic programs and explore new funding opportunities.
• Engage in professional development opportunities such as attending conferences and participating in statewide meetings.
• Advocate for the integration of the clinic’s mission and values in all aspects of patient care and organizational operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele encountering various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, substance use issues, developmental disabilities, and more. Our patients come from varied backgrounds and life experiences, and your role as an LMHC will be paramount in delivering personalized care that emphasizes their strengths and promotes recovery.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess an independent LMHC license recognized by the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate clinical records and prepare related reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to articulate ideas clearly and express thoughts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong judgment skills and the capacity to make independent decisions grounded in professional expertise.

Preferred Experience

Experience with specific populations, including those dealing with substance abuse and developmental disabilities, will be highly regarded. Familiarity with various evidence-based practices and tools is also preferred, as is previous work in a community health setting that focuses on holistic care approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 86,000 – 103,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
