Silver Lining Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our pediatric-focused team specializing in remote telehealth services. In this full-time role, you will leverage your expertise in therapy to support children and adolescents grappling with various mental health challenges, ensuring their holistic well-being within a supportive virtual environment.

Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home while maintaining flexibility and work-life balance. Your schedule will generally be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although occasional evening hours may be required to accommodate patient schedules. You will utilize telehealth platforms to conduct sessions, ensuring a seamless experience for both you and your clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to understand their emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions, taking into account developmental stages and family dynamics.
  • Provide individual and family therapy sessions, offering expert guidance in addressing conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues.
  • Facilitate family therapy to equip parents and guardians with the tools needed to foster a nurturing, supportive environment at home.
  • Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure an integrated approach to treatment, participating in case reviews and team meetings.
  • Provide crisis intervention support for children and adolescents experiencing acute mental health emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health topics, treatment options, and community resources, promoting informed decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with state regulations and ethical standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training and workshops, remaining current with industry research and best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges. Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as either an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in New Jersey.
  • Proven understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Experience in delivering both individual and family therapy, particularly with young populations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of establishing swift rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technology.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience working within child and adolescent mental health settings.

Compensation and Benefits
