• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, employing evidence-based tools to evaluate the needs and challenges presented by children and adolescents.
• Formulate and implement personalized treatment plans that are developmentally appropriate and sensitive to family dynamics, ensuring inclusivity in the treatment process.
• Deliver individual and family psychotherapy utilizing therapeutic modalities that are grounded in research and best practice guidelines.
• Facilitate family therapy sessions, helping caregivers understand their child's needs, fostering healthier home environments, and enhancing parental skills.
• Work in close partnership with child psychiatrists and other therapeutic staff to ensure an integrated approach to treatment, promoting coordinated care pathways.
• Provide urgent crisis intervention services when necessary, demonstrating adept management of mental health emergencies involving youth.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery journeys.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation that adheres to legal, ethical, and organizational standards in electronic health records.
• Participate proactively in team meetings and professional development workshops to continuously improve your skills and contribute to team objectives.
• Stay informed on current research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to enhance treatment effectiveness.

In this role, you will be primarily focused on engaging with children and adolescents who may be experiencing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma-related disorders. You will also work with their families to address the broader context of their mental health, ensuring a family-centered approach that recognizes the integral role of caregivers in a child's development.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related field.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with a strong grasp of evidence-based intervention techniques.
• Ability to effectively communicate and establish rapport with children, adolescents, and their families through compassionate and empathetic interaction.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems as well as proficiency in using digital communication tools for therapy delivery.
• Capability to collaborate seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team to provide the best outcomes for clients.

• Prior experience providing therapy to children and adolescents, particularly in an outpatient or telehealth setting.
• Experience with crisis intervention techniques and a solid understanding of community resources for mental health support.
• Familiarity with specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) that are effective for younger populations.

This role offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, alongside potential bonuses.
