Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: Remote (U.S.)
Headquarters: Miami, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $200,000โ€“$260,000 base salary, plus performance bonus and equity (where applicable)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and optimize our company's day-to-day operations as we continue to scale. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO will drive operational excellence, establish scalable business processes, and ensure cross-functional alignment across all departments.

This executive leader will translate company strategy into execution, improve organizational efficiency, and build high-performing teams capable of delivering exceptional business outcomes. The ideal candidate is a data-driven operator with experience leading rapidly growing organizations and managing distributed teams.

What You'll Do
  • Partner closely with the CEO to execute the company's strategic vision and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Lead daily business operations across multiple functional areas, ensuring operational efficiency and organizational alignment.
  • Develop and implement scalable operational processes, policies, and performance frameworks.
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing leadership teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Define company-wide KPIs, monitor operational performance, and present actionable insights to executive leadership and the Board.
  • Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, operational planning, and financial performance in partnership with Finance.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration among Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, HR, and Finance.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead strategic planning, organizational scaling, workforce planning, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Evaluate operational risks and establish mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and operational partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, corporate governance standards, and internal policies.
  • Champion operational excellence through automation, technology adoption, and process optimization.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and communicate operational performance to stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, business management, or executive leadership.
  • 5+ years leading cross-functional teams in a senior executive role such as COO, VP of Operations, or Head of Operations.
  • Demonstrated success scaling high-growth organizations.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and operational planning.
  • Proven ability to develop operational strategy and execute complex business initiatives.
  • Experience leading remote and geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in high-growth technology or SaaS companies.
  • Familiarity with operational planning frameworks such as OKRs and KPIs.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong change management and organizational development experience.
