Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions via video chat, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to support clients in their mental health journeys.
• Encouraging open and constructive discussions around emotions and experiences, guiding clients towards self-discovery and improved relationships.
• Developing treatment plans based on your clinical expertise, and employing a solution-focused approach to ensure clients meet their mental health goals.
• Acting as a client advocate, helping define therapeutic goals and fostering a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' mental health statuses to inform treatment recommendations and interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base comprises individuals who have been prescreened and exhibit low acuity, allowing for a focused therapeutic approach. Clients are stable and seeking to improve their mental health, providing you the opportunity to work with those who are motivated and ready for change. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• An independent license as a mental health professional, including one of the following: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Limited or provisional licenses are not accepted.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for the development of strong therapeutic alliances with clients.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology, including familiarity with teletherapy tools and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome candidates from various backgrounds, we prefer candidates who have:

• Previous experience in telehealth counseling or providing mental health services in a remote setting.
• A background in working with diverse populations to further enrich our client experience.
• Experience with various therapeutic methodologies that can be adapted to client needs.
