Work Environment

This position is classified as remote, allowing you to cultivate a healthy work-life balance. We offer flexible scheduling options that can match both full-time (30+ hours/week) and part-time (5+ hours/week) commitments. With the support of a modern counseling platform, your primary means of engaging with clients will be via video chat, enabling convenient and impactful interactions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting ethical and compassionate counseling sessions with clients via video chat to ensure they feel supported and understood.
• Performing ongoing assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health status and developing personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Guiding clients in developing coping strategies, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to empower them in their everyday lives.
• Maintaining thorough, yet succinct documentation as per organizational policies while minimizing paperwork burden.
• Collaborating with other mental health professionals within the organization to ensure comprehensive care and refer clients to additional resources as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on supporting stable, low-acuity adults. This demographic requires specialized attention to address their specific needs, helping them navigate life challenges and mental health concerns while promoting overall well-being. You will possess the opportunity to directly impact their lives through skill-building techniques and treatment modalities, fostering a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychological Doctorate (PsyD).
• Ability to maintain independent licensure without supervision and a clean professional record without disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrable strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in using computer-based applications and counseling platforms.
• Access to a stable Wi-Fi connection to ensure seamless service delivery.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in outpatient therapy settings and those who have worked with clients dealing with low-acuity mental health issues will find this role to be a perfect fit. Additionally, familiarity with telehealth practices and tools will enhance your capacity to provide effective care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and hours worked. Benefits include:
