The National Title Examination Team Lead role will assist Management and Exam Staff in allocating daily volumes and making suggestions as to workflow and process improvement. This role will also help in the day to day management of the Exam staff on an individual and team level. The Team Lead will also be responsible for their own pipeline of files to be completed daily. Assists Manager with daily operational needs and insure compliance with customer required SLA. Perform all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The approved Target Pay Range for this position is $28.00 to $43.00.
What you'll do:
  • Perform examination of title to real property, ranging in complexity, to determine status and to establish chain of title. Assist Exam team with questions and concerns at a file level.
  • Review turns time reports in a timely and thorough manner to make adjustments and suggestions to allocation of files and workflow processes.
  • Allocate work as needed and give support and direction to exam staff when needed.
  • Help Exam Specialist resolve any issues such as missing information, incomplete, inaccurate or contradictory information contained in the title documentation.
  • Abstract and analyze deeds, deeds of trust/mortgages, easements, judgments, tax assessments, mineral reservations, and other applicable instruments.
  • Verify ownership and encumbrances of real property.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Five (5) or more years' title or settlement services.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Suite - Word, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and communicate routine, factual information.
  • Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues and to negotiate and integrate different viewpoints.
  • Ability to apply common sense in performing job.
  • Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit.
  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize own work schedule on short-term basis (longer than one month).
  • Ability to add subtract, multiply, divide and to record, balance, and check results for accuracy.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
  • Ability to compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports and/or to orally communicate technical information.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word, communicating orally with others accurately audibly, and quickly.
