Job description

We create new aircraft, fly heavy-lift helicopters around the world, and provide maintenance support to ensure you are mission-ready for critical operations. The AA Command Pilot will serve as pilot-in-command on Columbia Model 234 Chinook in support of Columbia Helicopters' international flight operations. This Pilot will be working overseas.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Operates aircraft to the highest standard, safety, and efficiency
  • Utilizes sound aeronautical decision making (ADM), risk management, and situational awareness (SA)
  • Performs work in accordance with company policies, regulations, and guidance
  • Orchestrates the flight operations and the activities of all personnel under the scope of their responsibilities
  • Represents the company in a positive manner in all activities
  • Promotes Columbia Helicopters' core values and integrity while in conduct of their duties:
  • Meets customers' expectations to ensure the highest possible service
  • Actively identifies and mitigates safety concerns and/or risks
  • Seeks opportunities for improvement and productivity
  • Coordinates and supports the project team
  • Performs any required administrative tasks
  • Assists wherever possible in the overall success of the operation
  • Keeps Columbia Helicopters' management and other interested stakeholders informed of job activities or other relevant information
  • Serves as Project Lead in the absence of the Site Manager
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Flight Operations, VP of Operations, Chief Pilot, and Assistant Chief Pilot

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
  • CH-47 Tandem-rotorcraft experience
  • Commercial Pilot License or higher with Rotorcraft Helicopter class rating
  • ATP License preferred or the ability to get your ATP license
  • Current Class II (or higher) FAA medical certification
  • US or equivalent passport
  • 1,000 PIC total hours, prefer at least 500 hours in tandem-rotor aircraft
  • Ability to work in harsh and dangerous environments for prolonged periods
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to work in a team and high stress environment
  • Strong supervisory skills
