Job Summary:
The Safety Manager will need to have the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Safety Manager will work to implement the Bradley Safety program at our wind and solar project sites and ensure a safe work environment for team members, contractors, and visitors to the construction work site.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Organization, flexibility, outstanding focus and strong communication are critical in performing duties which include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist project management team in developing and executing site specific safety program and Emergency Action Plan
  • Implement and administer safety program at each worksite for team members
  • Advise, coordinate, and conduct safety orientation and training programs at the project level
  • Review and track all safety violations, unsafe conditions, good catches, etc.
  • Conduct work area safety audits
  • Provide Daily, Weekly, Monthly Safety Reports as required.
  • Review project's leading and trailing indicator data/document collection and trend analyses
  • Review major incident analysis with corporate management
  • Analyze Safety, Injury and Hazard statistics
  • Coordinate OSHA reporting and posting requirements
  • Administer BCM (BIM), BV (Qesis). and Developer Safety Audit Programs
  • Review Safety Submittals and attend preconstruction and preparatory meetings with contractors
  • Monitor and review trade partner work plans and activities for safety concerns
  • Assist with onsite injury management and case management
  • Assist with the organization and implementation of project safety celebrations and recognition/reward programs
  • Evaluate and offer solutions for industrial hygiene concerns
  • Maintain operational knowledge of construction safety, OSHA, ANSI, and other applicable standards, regulations, laws, and procedures
  • Serve as resource for safety issues or concerns for all project team members
  • Attend and/or chair safety meetings
  • Accompany safety, health, insurance, and OSHA personnel on work-site tours
  • Assist the Project Manager with the management of the safety budget allocated for project

Skills
  • The requirements listed below are representative of acquired skills required.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction products, plans, specifications, project workflow/sequencing, and PV construction industry best practices
  • Strong understanding of NEC
  • Experience in similar capacity on a project team for commercial projects directing crews or tradesmen in general construction, assembly and/or electrical work
  • Documented history of managing crews and subcontractors in the field
  • Knowledge of major PV components (PV modules, inverters, and racking systems, etc.) preferred
  • Tower Safety and Climbing Certified
  • Strong Microsoft office familiarity
  • Must have OSHA 500/ First Aid/ CPR or equivalent or be able to obtain it in a short period of time

Competencies

  • Must have a clean driving record and a valid state driver's license with the ability to travel as required
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check. Additional pre-employment drug screens may be required based on job responsibility
  • LOTO Safety procedures and implementation
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to manage shifting priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to interact with contractors positively and effectively
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable performance required
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment

Education, Certifications, and Experience
BS of occupational safety and health preferred, or equivalent experience
A minimum of 3 years of Renewable (Wind, Solar, Battery) experience is required
